Despite identifying as a Republican, Schwarzenegger has often been criticized for his liberal views. He is pro-abortion, advocates for climate change action, and supports mask-wearing and vaccination against COVID-19.
In 2021, he even drew parallels between Trump’s administration and Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Party, a statement that sparked controversy.
However, Schwarzenegger’s recent comments on Democrats seem to indicate a shift in his political stance. During the podcast, when Lowe listed Republican principles such as a strong military, low taxes, less government, and more personal freedoms, Schwarzenegger added “strong law enforcement” to the list.
